Where to next? Among the many factors that go into choosing a meeting destination, the availability of hotels and other meeting facilities is extremely important, along with safety and security — and good food! Cost is key, with hotel rates a primary concern. More than half of the
101 survey respondents learn about potential meeting destinations through
convention and visitor bureaus and tourism boards, meetings industry trade
shows and personal site selection visits; 70 percent find online resources helpful,
such as CVB websites, for destination information, F&B and facility photos.
