Atlantis Casino Resort Spa
The 820-room Atlantis has 50,000 square
feet of meeting and convention space and
the 30,000-square-foot Spa Atlantis. It’s
the only resort adjoined to the Reno-Sparks
Convention Center.
Circus, Circus
With over 28,000 square feet of meeting and
convention space on property, the 1,572-room
Circus Circus is part of the Tri-Property Complex
(with Silver Legacy and El Dorado), whose
facilities can be combined.

The Reno event facility, which opened in late
2011, is undergoing a $10 million renovation and
converting into a boutique hotel, the Whitney
Peak Hotel. The sports facility will continue to
operate during construction.
El Dorado Hotel Casino
The El Dorado offers over 12,000 square feet
of flexible meeting space, including an elegant
ballroom, and 815 guest rooms.
Grand Sierra Resort & Casino
Planners have no less than 200,000 square
feet to work with in this property of 1,995 keys.
Currently undergoing a $25 million renovation,
the Grand Sierra is improving its indoor pool and
nightclub, spa, and health club. The resort can
accommodate up to 4,000 attendees.
Harrah’s and Harveys Lake Tahoe
The connected sister properties are located near
the shore of Lake Tahoe. Combined, they offer
over 42,000 feet of flexible meetings
space, and 1,265 spacious guest rooms
and suites feature vistas of Lake Tahoe
and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Harrah’s Reno Hotel & Casino
The property’s 24,000 square feet of meeting
space includes a 14,000-square-foot convention
center, and Harrah’s sports 928 guest rooms.
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort,
Spa & Casino
The 400-plus-room Hyatt Regency recently
completed a $20 million renovation of its
guest rooms, Sierra Café, and the Spa Terrace
Conference Center. The resort’s more than
50,000 square feet of meeting space includes
a 5,000-square-foot outdoor pavilion and
private beach.
Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel
The former Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Hotel
& Ski Resort is now the Lake Tahoe Resort
Hotel, offering 400 two-room suites—ideal for
executives—and nearly 10,000 square feet
of flexible meeting space. PHR Management
is the new operator. The hotel is in the midst
of a $5 million to $7 million renovation. The
property’s Zero Waste Meeting initiatives keep
its meetings green.
National Bowling Stadium
The stadium is undergoing a $15 million
renovation, which includes the new Kingpin Club
by Brunswick, featuring a full bar, as well as 10
new competition and training lanes.
Peppermill Resort Spa Casino
The property has 106,000 square feet of
meeting space and 1,635 guest rooms, as
well as a 43,000-square-foot Spa & Salon
Toscana and fitness center. Peppermill’s air and
water heating energy is produced at an onsite
geothermal energy plant.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport
The airport recently completed a 17-month, $26
million construction program, creating a single
security checkpoint and dramatically improving
the restaurants and stores.
Sands Regency Casino Hotel
The 833-room Sands can accommodate 500 in
its 4,784-square-foot Regency Ballroom.
Silver Legacy Resort Casino
Adjacent to the Reno Events Center, the
1,710-room Silver Legacy Resort Casino
boasts 50,000 square feet of meeting
space, including the 19,360-square-
foot Grande Exposition Hall, which has
theater and reception seating for 2,000.
The property has $6 million worth of additions,
upgrades, and renovations in the works.
A new Starbucks is now open on the main
casino floor; an old-style Mexican restaurant,
Hussong’s Cantina-Taqueria, is new. Café
Sedona has been remodeled and reopened as
Café Central. The resort added the Aura Ultra
Lounge, as well as the only Blender Bar in
Reno, which offers frozen specialty drinks.
“America’s Best Lake,” according to USA Today,
and it is less than an hour away from the airport.
Once there, guests have 18 world-class ski
resorts to choose from in one of America’s most
gorgeous playgrounds.
“I like Reno-Tahoe because of the whole nature
aspect of it—it’s not just cement and sand. You
have a whole different environment that you can go
to. If you like the outdoors, it’s a beautiful area to
frequent,” says Tolman.
